  • Certified Divorce Financial Specialist™ by the Financial Divorce Association
  • Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) - The American College in Bryn Mawr, PA
  • Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™ (CDFA™) – The Institute for Certified Divorce Financial Analysts in Deerfield, MI
  • Mediator – Collaborative Growth mediation training

The Financial Divorce Association, Inc. was founded in 1986 to make divorce more financially equitable, and help deal with the devastating aftermath of divorce that leaves one former spouse with very little to rebuild with financially.

The Financial Divorce Association (FDA) has undergone several name changes over the years but the underlying concept is still the same: to help divorcing couples reach a financial agreement that is the best for both. To that end, FDA trains financial professionals such as financial planners, CPAs and attorneys in the financial and tax laws that will accomplish this goal.

Members of the Financial Divorce Association are required to submit 20 hours of Continuing Education credit every 2 years to keep their membership current.

Members are subject to the FDA Code of Ethics for Financial Divorce Specialists. In addition, the Financial Divorce Association has a stringent policy for dealing with complaints against its members, ensuring that the public receives the highest quality of services possible from our members.
