About the Financial Divorce Association
The Financial Divorce Association, founded by Carol Ann Wilson,
has been providing training and certification in the financial,
legal and tax aspects of divorce since 1992. Our Certified
Financial Divorce Specialist Training Program is designed for
financial planners, accountants and attorneys.

What is a Certified Financial Divorce Specialist?
Certified Financial Divorce Specialists is are financial
planners, accountants and attorneys that have been trained in the
financial, legal and tax aspects of divorce by leaders in the field.
Certified Financial Divorce Specialists help divorcing people receive
fair and equitable settlements and use the Family Law software to
divide assets.

To become a Certified Financial Divorce Specialist,
a student must complete an extensive self-study course on the financial,
tax and legal issues in divorce and the Family Law financial planning
software. Students must pass two exams on the material and software,
with a score of 75% or better on each in order to earn their certification.
The CFDS certification is also eligible for 13.5 Continuing Education
credits from the Certified Financial
Planning Board of Standards.
Once students pass the exams, they then become members of the Financial
Divorce Association and receive our marketing package
Members of the Financial Divorce Association are required to submit
20 hours of Continuing Education credit every 2 years to keep their
membership current.
The first year's membership fee is included in their tuition. After
the first year, membership dues are $75 per year.
Members are subject to the FDA Code of Ethics for Financial Divorce
Specialists. In addition, the Financial Divorce Association has
a stringent policy for dealing with complaints against its members,
ensuring that the public receives the highest quality of services
possible from our members.

About Carol Ann Wilson

Carol Ann Wilson, CFDS, is widely recognized as the foremost
