The Financial Divorce Association (FDA) has undergone several name
changes over the years but the underlying concept is still the same:
to help divorcing couples reach a financial agreement that is the
best for both. To that end, FDA trains and certifies financial professionals
such as financial planners, CPAs and attorneys in the financial
and tax laws that will accomplish this goal.
This certification, Certified Financial Divorce Specialist (CFDS),
enables them to become part of the team with attorney. They are
versed in the intricate tax laws that are pertinent to divorce that
even many divorce attorneys are unaware of.
The Family Law Software is included in the course and can show
graphically the financial result for each party of any given settlement
option. This gives the divorcing couple better information which
leads to their making better financial decisions.
